Sustainability shows up in many ways for us, from how we roast, brew, and source new coffee. When we source coffees that are grown by smallholder farms, we are strengthening vital coffee communities.

Smallholder farms, such as the farms that grow our new Papua New Guinea Kuta Kofi, are less than 2 hectares (about 5 acres) and are stewarded by individual families. These families are the heartbeat of specialty coffee. Yet, smallholder farms are struggling to be sustainable with climate change, access to resources, political struggles, and rising costs.
