When brewing coffee, Joe Van Gogh recommends a 1:16 ratio of coffee to water: so for every measure of coffee — whether ounces or grams — use 16 measures of water for drip brewed coffee. For espresso, use a 1:1.5 ratio.
For best brewing results, always use fresh, filtered water that's not distilled. We recommend heating your water to 195-205F to brew hot coffee.
